a Closed User Group(CUG) space (so-called HosPharm-Net) in host computer of computer communication services network (KPCA) was constructed in order to make the Korea hospital pharmacists to have the communications each other by computer. And the connection to host computer and Hospharm-Net CUG can be possible by modem and personal computer or telnet service through the LAN system. The present functions of HosPharm-Net are consist of 10 General Information and Affairs of KSHP, 2) Materials for Study and Discussion, 3) Drug Information and 4) The Lectures by Telecommunication. Especially question and answer (Q&A) service, supporting service of Pharmacy and Therapeutic (P&T) Communittee, Education and Training program of pharmacists and studuents of a college of pharmacy, preparing hospital formulary and newsletter, and also control of the investigational drugs in the clinical study are very important. As a promising function of Korean hospital pharmacy, we are trying to develop problem-oriented drug information database and telecommunication network for the efficient application of these drug informations to pharmaceutical services in hospital pharmacy. We also have plans of the educational programs for computer communication skills to hospital pharmacists and practice pharmacists. We are also trying to make databases of drug products available in Korea and newsletters of 16 hospital pharmacies by co-operation with other hospital pharmacists, and make the members of Korean Society of Hospital Pharmacists(KSHP) to use these database and CUG for exchanging drug informations each others. And now, we are trying to construct pharmaceutical service information network of hospital pharmacists by internet.
